Retatrutide in Thailand
The triple-agonist peptide, what its trials have studied so far, and how Friday supplies it for research.
What retatrutide is
Retatrutide (development code LY3437943) is an investigational synthetic peptide from Eli Lilly and Company. It is a triple agonist: a single molecule that activates three hormone receptors, the GIP receptor, the GLP-1 receptor and the glucagon receptor. For that reason it is sometimes nicknamed a "triple G" peptide.
Like tirzepatide, retatrutide is built on a GIP-based peptide backbone and carries a fatty diacid side chain that binds albumin, which gives it a long half-life in pharmacology studies. What sets it apart is the glucagon receptor activity. Published receptor data describe it as more potent than native GIP at the GIP receptor and less potent than the native hormones at the GLP-1 and glucagon receptors.
Retatrutide is still in clinical development. At the time of writing we are not aware of any country where it has marketing approval as a medicine. On fridaybkk.com it is sold only as lyophilised research material.
Why the glucagon receptor matters to researchers
Glucagon is usually thought of as the hormone that raises blood glucose, so adding glucagon activity to an incretin agonist can seem counterintuitive. The research interest comes from glucagon's other actions. In preclinical models, glucagon receptor signalling has been studied for its effects on energy expenditure, hepatic lipid metabolism and amino-acid turnover.
The hypothesis behind triple agonists is that the GIP and GLP-1 components offset glucagon's effect on glucose, while the glucagon component adds a separate metabolic pathway. Whether that balance holds, and what it means for safety, is exactly what the clinical programme is designed to test. For a side-by-side look at the receptor profiles, see retatrutide vs tirzepatide.
Trial context: phase 2 and TRIUMPH
Two phase 2 trials were published in 2023 and are the most widely cited human data so far:
- A 48-week phase 2 trial in adults with obesity, without diabetes, published in the New England Journal of Medicine. It reported body-weight endpoints against placebo across several study arms.
- A phase 2 trial in adults with type 2 diabetes, published in The Lancet, with HbA1c as the primary endpoint and body weight as a secondary endpoint.
As with other incretin-based compounds, gastrointestinal events were the most commonly reported adverse events, and the papers also discuss heart-rate changes. The full safety data are in the publications listed below.
The phase 3 programme is called TRIUMPH. Its trials enrol adults with obesity or overweight in different settings, including people with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, knee osteoarthritis and obstructive sleep apnoea. A parallel phase 3 programme, TRANSCEND-T2D, studies type 2 diabetes. TRIUMPH results are being reported by the sponsor in stages; for the current status of each study, check ClinicalTrials.gov and the sponsor's own announcements rather than social media summaries.
All of this is clinical research under medical supervision. It describes what was measured in specific trial populations, not what any research material will do outside a trial.
How research retatrutide is supplied
Research retatrutide comes as a lyophilised powder in a sealed glass vial, labelled with the peptide content in milligrams. Friday stocks it in 10mg (฿3,190) and 20mg (฿5,790) vials; both sizes are on the retatrutide product page.
Laboratories reconstitute lyophilised peptides before analysis, commonly with bacteriostatic water, which Friday sells separately. Reconstitution protocols belong to the research setting and are not covered here.
Because retatrutide is newer and harder to synthesise than many peptides, identity and content testing matter even more. A useful certificate of analysis names the independent lab, the batch, the test date, the mass-spectrometry identity result and the HPLC purity and content. Every vial Friday stocks is lab-tested by batch: message us if you would like to see the report for the batch you are ordering.
Storage
The general laboratory guidance for lyophilised peptides applies: refrigerate sealed vials (2-8 °C) on arrival, keep them dry and out of light, and use a freezer for longer-term storage. Let a cold vial reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. Reconstituted solutions are much less stable and are kept refrigerated for a short period only.
Freeze-dried peptides generally tolerate a few days at room temperature in transit, so they ship by normal courier. Put the vial in the fridge when it arrives.
Buying retatrutide from Friday
Retatrutide is listed from ฿3,190 on the product page. Orders are packed in Bangkok and leave with tracking the next working day, to any address in Thailand. Delivery is a flat ฿60, prices are in Thai baht, and payment is by bank transfer with a slip that our team confirms before dispatch.
We sell to adults aged 20 and over, for research use only, and every buyer accepts our research-use terms at checkout. Our team answers questions about stock, batches and orders on Telegram and WhatsApp; we do not give medical or personal-use advice. Related compounds in the same research area, such as tirzepatide and cagrilintide, are on the shop.

Questions
What is retatrutide?
Retatrutide (LY3437943) is an investigational synthetic peptide that activates the GIP, GLP-1 and glucagon receptors. It is in phase 3 clinical trials and, as far as we are aware, is not approved as a medicine in any country.
What is the TRIUMPH programme?
TRIUMPH is the phase 3 clinical trial programme for retatrutide in adults with obesity or overweight, including studies in people with type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, knee osteoarthritis and sleep apnoea. Results are being reported by the sponsor in stages.
What strengths does Friday stock?
Friday stocks retatrutide as lyophilised powder in sealed vials, in 10mg (฿3,190) and 20mg (฿5,790) vials.
How should research retatrutide be stored?
Sealed lyophilised vials are kept refrigerated at 2-8 °C, dry and away from light, or frozen for longer storage. Reconstituted solutions are far less stable.
Can Friday advise on personal use?
No. Friday sells retatrutide for laboratory research, education and analytical testing only. It is not for human or animal consumption, and our team does not give medical advice.
